Frequently Asked Questions

Are envelopes included?

Blank, Natural White envelopes are included in the price of stationery, holiday cards and invitations.

What if I need more?  Can I order more later?

You can always order more cards at a later date, but it will be substantially more expensive than ordering extras with your initial order. Each print run incurs setup costs that are not dependent on the number of cards ordered.
We highly recommend ordering extra in your initial to account for wrong addresses, last minute additions to your guest list and as keepsakes.  Ten to fifteen extra cards or suites, should be sufficient (unless you have a very large recipient list then add a few more).

Will the color of my cards match my screen?

All monitors display color differently.  Your printed cards my not match exactly what you see on your screen.  We are unable to accept returns based on color differences between your computer screen and the printed order.  If exact color matching is important for your order, please email us, and we can work through some solutions for you.

Can you letterpress print in custom colors?

We can custom mix a Pantone ink color for a flat fee of $35.  We will invoice you for this fee prior to mixing the ink.

Do you have a retail location?

No, Esquire-Press is an online stationery store.  We do not have a public boutique.  However, if you would like to engage Esquire-Press for custom stationery, we are happy to visit by phone, video call, or in person if you are in the Houston or Bryan/College Station areas.

How long does it take?

Personalized orders take approximately 1 week for the design process and an additional 2 weeks for the production process for flat printed orders or 4 weeks for the production process for letterpress printed orders. To ensure timely delivery, we recommend placing your order well in advance of the date you need them. Our small team works hard to ensure that your order meets our high standards!

What's included in the proofing process?

The proofing process includes two rounds of proofs: the first round is the digital proof we will produce based on your completed Order Customization Form, the second round digital proof will be based on any revisions you made to the first proof. ALL PROOFS WILL BE ELECTRONIC; HARD COPY PROOFS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. Wording, spelling, letterpress ink color and minor layout adjustments may be made during the revision process. Any additional rounds of review and comment shall be subject to a fee of $75 per round. Concept revisions, changes in semi-custom design layout or a change in design shall be subject to our design fee of $100 per hour.
It is your responsibility to completely review all proofs. You are encouraged to carefully review each proof and seek clarification on any uncertain details prior to granting approval. Any modifications must be clearly communicated in writing. Your order will not go into production until final approval of the proof is received. Any delay in granting final approval will delay production. ANY ERRORS OR OMISSIONS THAT ARE IDENTIFIED AFTER FINAL APPROVAL ARE YOUR SOLE RESPONSIBILITY, AND YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY REPRINTING COSTS INCURRED.

What paper types do you offer?

Letterpress cards are printed on soft, 118# or 236# 100% cotton letterpress paper in Natural White. Flat printed cards are printed on 100# or 240# eggshell paper in Natural White.

I want to order Envelope Liners, how do I assemble them?

You can assemble envelope liners using tape runners or permanent glue sticks. Glue or tape should only be applied to the portion of the envelope liner that will be attached to the flap of the envelope. The liner needs to be able to move in the envelope once attached as the envelope opens and closes. Do not glue or tape the liner down to the inside of the envelope – only to the flap of the envelope.

I want to add mounted photos to my announcements or holiday cards, please help!

We can easily leave a space to attach either a 4” x 4”, a 3.5” x 5” or a wallet size photo to your holiday cards or announcements. We love mpix for high-quality photo prints. We recommend using a tape runner or a permanent glue stick to attach the photos to your cards. If you use a glue stick, we also recommend leaving the cards under a heavy object to ensure they dry flat.

Can I add additional printing to the back of my letterpress cards?

We can print on the back of most items, if needed. We strongly recommend upgrading to double ply paper if you need letterpress printing on the back of your cards so that the impression from one side doesn’t show through to the other. Please contact us if you would like pricing for this service.

What are your shipping options?

We only ship domestically, in the US. All orders are shipped via USPS Ground Advantage, UPS Ground or FedEx Ground, at our discretion, unless you choose an expedited delivery method. Shipping times and methods may vary based on the destination. Economy shipping (5-8 business days transit time) is complimentary on orders over $75. Orders over $200 qualify for free Standard shipping (3-5 business days transit time).

Can I cancel my order?

Provided an order has not begun production, you may cancel your order and receive a reimbursement of your purchase price LESS the following fee, to compensate us for the time and expense invested in your project:

Can I cancel my order after I have approved the proof for print?

Once you have approved the final proof, no cancellation is permitted.

Can I return my custom letterpress order?

Custom or personalized products are made to your specifications and, therefore, no returns or cancellations are permitted once production begins.

I found an error on my printed order; what should I do?

Your order will be printed exactly as shown on the approved proofs.  If you find an error, please contact us immediately and we will work with you to determine how to correct the error.
We CANNOT accept returns or give refunds for orders that contain errors that existed on APPROVED PROOFS, regardless of where the error originated.  We will try our best to call attention to any errors we see during the proofing process, but FINAL PROOFING IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
If your printed order does not match your approved proof, please contact us immediately and we will reprint the affected pieces free of charge.
